FROM BEER TO BROADWAY: 30 YEARS OF SRO

In its 30 year history, SRO Productions has produced, booked and coordinated performances & events nationwide and in the Twin Cities - aspects such as talent coordination for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend, production of the City Pages’ Beer & Wine Festivals and talent buying & entertainment consulting for Marshall Field’s "Galmorama" (formerly Fash Bash). In addition, SRO has produced music compilations for everything from Broadway to non-profits, to corporations and radio - including pioneering the radio music sampler "concept" with Minneapolis’ own KTCZ—Cities 97 Cities Sampler.

Last year, SRO developed a two volume CD set for the internationally renowned Metropolitan Opera of New York; produced two CDs for the nationally syndicated radio show Delilah and created CDs for 20 different stations owned by radio behemoth Clear Channel. Locally, SRO brought Semisonic, Don McLean, Nine Days, Taylor Dayne and Savage Aural Hotbed to the 2001 fashion runway for Marshall Field’s Fash Bash.

This small but mighty company, sprung out of founder Larry Berle’s apartment office in Minneapolis and during its thirty years, morphed into a nationally-known, extremely resilient entertainment company that can do it all…and has.
