Illinois Youths Can Sample Reality
Created and produced by SRO to deliver an anti-smoking message to a youth audience, Sample Reality is Illinois’ musical addition to its anti-smoking campaign. After starting in Minnesota and Iowa, these projects have taken off all around the country.Each CD includes tracks from the hottest local bands and it is completely customized in each state. It has been a very positive and empowering experience not only for the artists who get chosen but for the youth listening committee involved in the song selection process.
Campaigns often include live performances by several of the bands on the CDs. It was at these concerts and through radio & nightclub partnerships that the CDs are distributed.
